EVAP Service Port Adapter Kit
Included in your kit based on the options you selected:
- EVAP service port adapter fitting with M12x1.5mm,
knurled grip for finger tightening
- EVAP service port schrader removal tool
- Conical nozzle adapter for any hose I.D up to ⅝” with rounded barb hose end for easy push-on / pull-off of the hose
General guidelines using these adapters:
- Before removing the EVAP port schrader valve with the provided tool, depress the schrader stem to release the pressure.
- When using the schrader valve tool, note that the schrader stem is a reverse thread! This means clockwise is loosening and counter-clockwise is tightening
- The thread on the EVAP port thread finger tight snug, there is a rubber o-ring inside to make the seal. Doesn’t need force
- You may need to use a scan tool capable of closing the vent solenoid in order to seal the system before applying smoke or air pressure.
- Only use as much pressure as recommended by the manufacturer when pressurizing the EVAP system.
- A cone adapter is also included for your convenience to test other emissions lines necessary to find leaks.
