Boost leak tester for the Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 with the 2.0L M133 turbo four-cylinder (X156, 2014 to 2019). The M133 makes a lot of boost from a small turbo, so even a small leak in the charge pipes or intercooler makes the turbo work harder, costs power and can set underboost codes.
The kit uses a 2.75" billet aluminum end cap that fits over the turbo inlet, with a liquid-filled 30 PSI gauge, silicone coupler and T-bolt clamps. Remove the intake to reach the turbo inlet, install the tester, take off the oil cap and pressurize starting around 5 PSI. Common leak spots are the charge pipe couplers, the intercooler end tanks, the diverter valve and the throttle body seal. Spray soapy water on the joints to see exactly where it leaks. Step-by-step help is in our How to Boost Leak Test guide.
