Boost leak tester for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI with the EJ257 and stock turbo, 2004 and newer. It uses a 3" billet aluminum end cap with a liquid-filled gauge, silicone coupler and T-bolt clamps.
On the STI, the turbo inlet is hard to reach, so the easiest test point is the turbo intake pipe. Install the tester there, cap the vacuum and PCV lines connected to the intake pipe (the vinyl cap assortment has every size you need), and remove the oil cap. Subaru EJ engines should never be pressurized with the oil cap on. Start around 5 PSI and check the top-mount intercooler, its couplers, the bypass valve and the throttle body.
