Boost leak testers for the Ford F-150 3.5L and 2.7L EcoBoost twin turbo V6. Both engines use 1.75" turbo inlets, so each kit comes with two 1.75" billet aluminum end caps, one for each turbo. Both install at the same time so the test pressure can't escape out the second turbo.
A boost leak on the EcoBoost often sets P0299 (turbo underboost), with lost power, poor fuel economy and a whistle under boost. Pressurize the intercooler, charge pipes and intake from the turbo inlets with the engine off, start at about 5 PSI, and spray soapy water on the joints to find the leak.
