Our Mazda tester is for the 2007 to 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 with the 2.3L MZR DISI engine and the stock K04 turbo. It is billet aluminum with a liquid-filled gauge and mounts at the turbo inlet. The Mazdaspeed 3 is known for boost leaks at the intercooler couplers, the bypass valve and the PCV system, and a small leak often shows up as boost creeping lower, slower spool or a lean code. Fit the tester, start at 5 PSI and work up slowly toward your normal boost while you listen and spray soapy water on every coupler and clamp. The same engine is used in the Mazdaspeed 6 and CX-7, though the intake layout differs, so text us a photo if you have one of those. Running an upgraded turbo? Measure the outside diameter of your turbo inlet and pick a universal tester in that size.
