Vehicle-specific testers for Hyundai: Sonata.
Check the engine and year in the product name, or text us a photo of your setup and we'll point you to the right kit.
The Hyundai tester is for the Sonata 2.0T and mounts on the turbo inlet. It is the same tester we list for the Kia Optima 2.0T, since both cars use the same Theta II turbo engine. It is billet aluminum with a liquid-filled gauge and an air fitting, so you can fill it from shop air. On these cars, a loose or split intercooler coupler is the most common leak, and it shows up as lost power, a lean condition or an underboost code. Fit the tester at the turbo inlet, start at 5 PSI and work up slowly toward your normal boost while you listen and spray soapy water on every joint. Have a different turbo Hyundai, such as the Genesis Coupe 2.0T, Veloster Turbo or Elantra N? Measure the outside diameter of your turbo inlet and pick a universal tester in that size, or text us what you drive.
