Volvo testers cover both cars and trucks. For cars, the S60R 2.5T and C30 T5 testers mount on the turbo inlet, and the S60 2.5T tester mounts on the turbo outlet pipe. For semi trucks, there is a tester for the D12 and D13 and another for the D16, which also fits the Cummins ISX and CM870. The charge air cooler pressure tester kit tests the CAC on its own on Class 7 and 8 trucks, with 60 PSI gauges and plugs for 3", 3.5" and 4" hoses. Every tester is billet aluminum. On the 2.5T cars, cracked PCV parts and intercooler hoses are common leak points. On trucks, a leaking charge air cooler or boot costs fuel economy and power on every trip. Start at 5 PSI on the cars and work up toward your normal boost. For trucks, follow the pressure listed on the kit and spray soapy water on every joint to find the leak.
